I’m personally going through Segoe&Seigen Tesuji Dictionary – it is more of a problem book than Fujisawa dictionary – but I think it would be too. Dictionary of Basic Tesuji has 4 ratings and 0 reviews. 4th volume of Shuko’s dictionary. This volume covers life and death tesuji and endgame tesuji. If they are the same, fujiawa you can simply learn from the diagrams, it might be a bargain. I look forward to reading Volume 2 although not right away.
Once you get past the initial intimidation of handling a pair of go books in Japanese for what may be the first time, you will soon realise how tesjji densely packed with information the dictionary is. I have started to recognise the “tesuji” kanji beside many of the diagrams, but it is very helpful to know that the other diagrams usually show good alternatives, rather than failures.
You have Tesuji from the Elementary Go Series, Shuko’s books are a more advanced version of this book.

Now that I have both, if your Japanese reading ability is not so great, I think you can get more out of the Segoe Tesuji Dictionary than out of the Fujisawa Tesuji Dictionary. Reading the latter thoroughly can get one from 1 dan to 2 dan.

In fact, this is probably as good an exposition of go theory as dictionray ever see in a Japanese book and despite what Robert Jasiek thinks, dictiojary can do it. I don’t think John will want to be associated with my hamfisted attempts to render things into English based on a mediocre Chinese translation. Knowing vital points and shapes is more important than brute-forcing.
There are plenty ddictionary problems involving groups that I would have just taken one glance at and written off as already alive that were actually killable. The chapters are, as John has explained, divided according to goals rather than means. Although I have posted up one example from the fujidawa here, I do not intend to compile a categorised series of examples from the dictionary here, as that would, in my view, be against fair usage.
